International hosts for weekly online sessions at Plauderraum

Sharing travel memories or everyday experiences, discussing seasonal festivities and traditions, philosophizing together,... The topics at Plauderraum are as colorful and diverse as the people who meet here. - We are looking for someone who would like to arrange and host weekly online sessions in English, Arabic, Ukrainian/Russian or other languages. Plauderraum is a free offer operated by Caritas Vienna. The sessions take place online via Zoom and last an hour. Anyone who enjoys to chat can participate. On average, seven people between the ages of 50 and 80 attend. - As a volunteer you arrange the topic of the session, ask interesting questions and ensure a pleasant atmosphere for chatting, all from the comfort of your own home. All you need is a computer or a tablet with a camera and an internet connection. Currently website and online sessions are only available in German, but we are hoping to change that soon: plauderraum.caritas-wien.at
We are lookin for:
- You are creative: You actively contribute topics and enjoy creating online sessions.
- Moderation skills: You know how to keep a group discussion going and make sure that everyone who wants to contribute is heard.
- You are reliable: If you can't keep an appointment, you let us know well in advance.
